Additional registration information:
Registration includes race entry, t-shirt, race packet, and post-race refreshments (registration after May 15th may require t-shirt to be mailed).
Children 5 & under are free with the registration of an adult (please note that a t-shirt will not be included with the free registration).
If you desire, you can purchase a shirt for children when you register.
Medals will be awarded for top finishers in each category.
Strollers are allowed.
Packet pickup will be available Saturday, June 8th (at Riverside Park prior to the start of the race).
COVID related information:
We will do our best to adhere to outdoor events per CDC guidelines.
This may include things like a staggered start, or different plans for the food table, etc.
We are still understanding the guidelines and appreciate your patience and support as we work through these new challenges.
Rules of registration:
Race officials reserve the right to refuse participation to any dog that appears to be hazardous to others or whose physical condition appears to be in jeopardy before or during the event. All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times before, during, and after the event. Race officials will provide dog waste bags and trash containers; however, participants are responsible for their own pet waste. No skateboards, bicycles, or rollerblades will be allowed on the course during this event. Only 1 dog per participant will be allowed on the course.
Must be 18 years old to register, however children under 18 are allowed to register with the participation and registration of an adult or guardian. Children under 18 are also allowed a $5 discount at time of registration.
Adverse Weather Policy
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS
The K9K Race will be canceled or delayed if any of the following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm, “Heavy” Rain.
START OF THE EVENTS
The start of any of the events can be delayed one hour from the posted start time if any of the above mentioned conditions exist.
CANCELLATION OF EVENTS
The events may be canceled if one of the following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch or Thunderstorm Warning
AUTHORITY TO CANCEL THE EVENT
The Race Director, in accordance with Operations Director and local law enforcement, has the authority to cancel any of the events. If threatening weather conditions force cancellation of the event, no refunds will be provided and race services will cease.
